Our second interview with our favorite new artist, Ms. Lolene! We were lucky enough to interview her for a second time, and let me tell you, it was amazing talking to her! She's so inspirational! She talks about her experience being in a girlgroup, and writing songs for Christina Milian. It's a must read, if I do say so myself! Read and comment please.

Q: You've been raised by a single mother. How was it like for you? How did it help you pursue your career?
Lolene: It's all I've ever known as a person. That was my path in life. It was great because it created this special bond between me and my mom. It taught me how to be independent as a female in the world. It really brought out my strength of character and ambition, and it made me more driven and a lot stronger. I really want people out there who come from single homes to know that you don't have to be a statistic. You can go out there and do great things.

Q: You're very inspirational, did you know? I mean, your quotes are amazing, and you really have a way with words.
Lolene: Thank you! That means a lot to me 'cause I don't wanna be just another airhead singer. I wanna spread positivity, and uplift people through my music. I want to become a voice, in general, not just through music, so that really means a lot to me, that you say that.

Q: What I really like about your music is that it's really diverse. One minute, you're doing these sexy club songs ("Sexy People"), the next you're doing these really inspirational and personal ballads ("Ordinary Girl"). Where does that come from?
Lolene: It comes from me being a writer, fore mostly. I could've made any kind of album; I could've made a reggae album, I could've made a rock album, or even an alternative album. But I really love pop music. I love pop so much, and it really is an honest reflection of who I am. I'm very upbeat, I'm very happy, I love to go out. The thing about my album is, you know when people sometimes want to go out and party, but other times they feel sad or want to reflect on themselves for a minute, so I wanted to write music that could bring out all those emotions for young people.

Q: Actually, your songs could be your diary. They could be anyone's diary. I mean, you've got so many emotions on there, and many people can relate. Your music is relatable. It's universal.
Lolene: Exactly! I'm an English girl living in America making music for the world. There's no boundaries, it's just pop music. That's my cause for [debut album] The Electrick Hotel. I want everyone to come check in, and check me out. It's got many different levels and different floors. It's just a house of music.

Q: "We are architects of dreams and dreams come true."
Lolene: Yes! Say it. Love it. Live it.

Q: How did you come up with that?
Lolene: Architects are people who design and build, and so we design our own dreams, we conceive them as people. I believe dreams come true. If you can dream it, you can do it, so we are architects of our own dreams, and you can achieve them if you work hard enough.

Q: Where do you come up with this? You're really inspirational. Like what you said before about being raised by a single parent. You did it, you pursued your dreams, and it gives people in that situation hope. You made it, and so can they.
Lolene: I don't think I made it. I think I'm making it. I'm on a journey. I'm making it slowly, but surely, you know? I'm just enjoying my career. It's important for me to recognize the achievements I made, and am, hopefully, going to make. I always say I wanna be the brown Madonna. I wanna be international, universal. It's important for me to keep growing and building my career. I'm very thankful to my fans right now, and the future fans I will have who like my music, and will join me on my journey, you know? To all the great bloggers, as well! Like you! I'm thankful to so many amazing bloggers who really got behind me, and I'm just thankful to everyone.

O: I've been a fan for forever, and you've been growing in front of my eyes. You're finally making it. You just shot a magazine cover, right?
Lolene: Yeah, I did. My single, "Rich (Fake It 'Til U Make It)", is my first official one. My previous one, "Sexy People", went to number 5 on the dance charts but we never released it as an official song. We even made a low budget video just for fun. This time, though, with "Rich", we're going for a larger platform. I'm really excited about it 'cause it had such tremendous feedback online. I can't wait for it to take off on radio.

Q: How did the song "Lion Heart" come about?
Lolene: "Lion Heart", I think, is one of the best songs I've ever written. It came about, because, you know, I live in L.A. and I think love is a really hard thing to find. I think people are really scared of love because they're afraid of getting hurt, so I think, to give your heart to someone really takes a lot of courage and bravery. It reminded me of a lion heart. In order to be brave enough to love someone you have to be courageous and bold, and just go for it. So when I talk about having a lion heart, I'm talking about being brave enough to love someone, and everything in your life that happened before this person is gone, and now, it's a new life with your lion heart.

Q: "Lion Heart" is the next single, right? "Ordinary Girl" and "Die Without Love" should be the ones after it.
Lolene: We're focusing on "Rich" right now. Once we're done with that, we'll release "Lion Heart". I can't wait to unveil it. But "Rich" has to do really well in order for me to release the other songs. I really like "Die Without Love", too! I also love "Under the Bus", "Beautiful Disaster". It's a 16 track album, by the way! So there's like loads of songs.

Q: You actually started your career as part of a girlgroup. How was that experience?
Lolene: That was really fun. Those are fun memories. They were actually best friends of mine. Back then, I was just getting to know how to write music and sing. Just finding my way. So we would sing together for fun. We spent a lot of time together, even heading to the studio, but nothing came from it. It was a good time for me 'cause it was an experience I shared with good friends of mine.

Q: You're not actually a newbie. You've been writing songs, doing your thing, just been underground for awhile.
Lolene: Yeah! I do feel like a new artist, though. I'm not from America, so everything is pretty much new to me, but it's affecting me positively, which is wonderful. But yeah, I have paid my dues and come a long way.

Q: You actually wrote songs for Christina Milian that were never released. ("Diamonds", "Invisible Man")
Lolene: It's such a shame, 'cause they're such good songs. But that's what happens. I've had loads of artists record my music, but a lot hasn't come out. It just happens that way. It's just the way it works. But she's a great person. I love Christina, and we wrote many great songs together.

Q: Her versions of "Sexy People" and "Kiss It" were recently leaked.
Lolene: I know! Her and I are good friends. At the time I was making my album, I was writing a lot of music, and she was making her album. I was writing for her seperately, but also writing my own. She was there when I recorded a lot of my songs. I wasn't sure at that point what I would be using, and what I wouldn't. Now and then, I would let her cut some of my songs, just to see how it works out. It's kinda sad they're out there. They weren't intended for that.

Q: You signed with J.R. Rotem's publishing label, Beluga Heights. How did that come about?
Lolene: I was in L.A. on a writing trip and his manager Zach [Katz] got a hold of one of my demos, so he invited me to meet with him and Jonathan. I sang for them and played them some of my work. We really got along, and they really liked me as a writer. They ended up bringing me here [L.A.] from England, and signing me with their publishing label.

Q: I couldn't help but notice there aren't any J.R. or Danja songs on your record, though. Why is that?
Lolene: I did all my writing for other artists with Beluga Heights, so it made sense for me to branch out and work with new producers for my album. Just have it as a new situation. J.R.'s music has a certain sound, where mine has more of a European sound. It just made sense for me to work with different producers to make a personal album. I'm so thankful to J.R. for the opportunities he's given me, though. I'm really good friends with Danja, too. But I'm not gonna put a song on my album just because it's a Danja, or J.R. song. I want to put the best songs on my album.They might be from a kid you've never heard of, but I wanted to work with people who are up and coming. I'm not really attracted by name, I'm attracted by sound.

Q: You actually said you're looking for the "new RedOnes" of the world.
Lolene: Yeah! I wanna be innovative. I'm not trying to tag onto any names that are famous. At the end of the day, I don't need fancy names to make me feel valid as an artist. If the song's great, the song's great.

Q: What advice do you have to people who want to follow their dreams?
Lolene: I would say take your craft very seriously, first of all. If you want to be a singer, or a writer, or a producer, it's very hard work. It's not a walk in the park. You have to be really dedicated to it. Be prepared to get a lot of rejections, that comes hand in hand. But, most importantly, once you've prepared yourself for rejection, never give up. EVER. Never let anyone tell you you're not good enough. Also, to be polite. Be persistent, but not annoying. Never give up. Follow your heart, always have faith and keep following your dreams 'cause they will come true.

How amazing is she? Honestly, I was mesmerized by her. She's just an honest and down to earth person who's doing what she loves. Inspirational. GIRLS CAN'T CATCH;S JESS INTERVIEW!

Alot of British girlgroups have been emerging as of late, but none as appealing as Girls Can't Catch. The group first appeared in early 2009 with their debut single, "Keep Your Head Up" which made waves on the Internet. They surprised and impressed us with their deeper, edgier Pop sound and unique voices and looks, and since then, we were hooked!

The girls have just released their second single, "Echo", on January 18th, and it's looking to be doing really well for them. Their still untitled debut album is set for release this March, and will include production from Johnny Douglas and Shaznay Lewis,

We recently had the opportunity to interview our favorite member, the amazing Jess Stickley. Check out what she had to say about everything from Kanye West and Taylor Swift to touring with the JoBros to making it in the US. Check it out below!

SPM: Congratulations! I heard "Echo"'s just been A-Listed on Radio 1, right?

Jess: We heard about that yesterday. We were very, very happy! It's really, really cool, and it
made my week.

SPM: Why was the group called 'Girls Can't Catch'?

Jess: Basically, we had lots and lots of meetings where we got together and tried to come up with a name. The name that we'd chosen was put forward in one of the meetings, and we all loved it. We were like "That's a wicked name!" and we just went ahead with it, and it stuck with us
from then.

SPM: It's quite a cool name!

Jess: Thank you! I think it's quite different. Some people either hate it, but some people love it.

SPM: We've been following you on Twitter for awhile now, and you've mentioned alot of hip hop
artists, i.e. Gucci Mane and Wale. What would be your dream hip hop collaboration?

Jess: Definitely Kanye West! I've loved him for years. I've actually seen him five times, and I
just find him so inspirational. He's an amazing producer and performer so I think he'd be wicked to work with.

SPM: What did you think of the whole Taylor Swift incident?
Jess: I watched that, and what he said was what quite what alot of people were thinking. I just think the way he did it, going up there on stage, he did it politely. He said sorry, and people didn't agree with him. I actually found it quite funny and humorous. He's actually quite funny.

SPM: People were taking it too seriously, weren't they?
Jess: Totally, about the backlash, alot of people who knew that I love him said to me "How can you still like him, we're disappointed in you" and I just thought 'He said what everyone else was thinking.' I think he's a great artist, and Beyonce should've won after all, but maybe I'm a little bit biased.

SPM: His music should speak for itself. He's a great artist, and it shouldn't matter what he said or did.
Jess: Exactly. He's allowed to do what he wants, which is the reason why he's become so massive, because he's so different. He's groundbreaking and his opinions, people don't agree with them, but he gets people talking about him.

SPM: What's your favorite song off the album?
Jess: A song called "Unconditional". Also, another song called "Alone", which is more of a ballad. It was actually written by Pixie Lott, that's quite a big favorite. We actually did "Unconditional" on tour when we were supporting Girls Aloud. When the album gets released, I'd really like to hear what people think about it. Hopefully, they love it as much as I do.

SPM: How is it like having Pixie Lott write a song for you?
Jess: It was amazing! I love her. I'm a really big fan of hers. I got her album and I think she's really talented, especially since she's been writing from an early age. It was really nice saying we got a song written by her, and I've heard from people who know her that she's really pleased that we got the song, so it was good.

SPM: She's very talented. She can sing, she can write. She's the whole package.
Jess: Totally. I think she's gorgeous, as well. She's got a really good look. I've seen her perform live, we've done a couple of gigs where she happened to be performing as well. I think she's got a wicked style, and I love her songs.

SPM: There are alot of rumors on the internet. Was "Echo" actually meant for Rihanna?
Jess: Apparently, that was on a story that was released this week on the papers. I don't know for sure if it was meant for Rihanna. I don't actually know the true facts, but when we were given it, we heard it was meant for her. It might've been, I don't know.

SPM: It doesn't actually sound like a Rihanna song. Good it went to you.
Jess: Oh, yeah, totally! I remember the first day we heard it. Someone played it for us; our A&R guy said "How about this song?" and we loved it. We said "Oh my gosh, that's just amazing!" and there was this buzz around if we were gonna get to record it. Then, it actually got to be the single. We were so, so happy.

SPM: It's an amazing song, and you girls did it justice.
Jess: Thank you! I'm really glad everyone's quite loving it. Hopefully, they really do. Everything seems to be going in the right direction, which is good for us.

SPM: How was it like supporting Girls Aloud on tour?
Jess: That was amazing. That was right in the beginning, when we first got together. They said "Look, you're gonna go out on tour and have a blast" and it really was amazing. First night, I'll never ever forget it 'cause I was so nervous. I've never done anything on that scale. I just stood backstage, shaking so much, but when you get out there and play arenas like Wembley, it's such an amazing experience. Just actually being with the girls, and seeing them backstage. We spent quite alot of time with them and they were very supportive. When we were doing soundcheck at 5 o'clock or whatever, when the arena was empty, they would come and watch. That was quite nerveracking. One of them sat front row. They actually knew who we were, and were so supportive.

SPM: It was your first time performing together, right?
Jess: Actually, we played G-A-Y sorta as a warm-up to get is going, but yes, it was a real first performance of us as a group, and it was six weeks that I'll never forget.

SPM: How about the Jonas Brothers?
Jess: That was really good. That was different, but just amazing. Actually, in some respect, nothing can beat our Girls Aloud tour since it was our first time as a group, but it was good. About the Jonas Brothers, we didn't know what to expect. We actually got warned beforehand. They told us "You have never met fans like the Jonas Brothers fans", they were just crazy. They were so supportive. I've never heard screams like that. It was such a big buzz being there. It was so lovely, 'cause, like, a couple of nights, I watched the show after and people knew who we were. On the GA tour, we were unknown, but this time, people knew who were were and we were like "Wow!".

SPM: That's a huge deal. The Jonas Brothers are huge all over the world.
Jess: We didn't know alot about them before, but after what we saw every night, they're so talented. They're genuinly lovely guys. On the first night of the tour, they actually came out to introduce us. That was huge. It was an amazing opportunity, and they're really genuine guys, so friendly when we saw them backstage and stuff. I'd go back and do it again.

SPM: Have you decided on a title and release date for the album yet?
Jess: We haven't actually! We've had a few brainstorming sessions, nothing really serious, talking about names and stuff and we came up with a few ideas. We'll find one when the time is right. About a release date, there's not one set at the moment. Probably around March time, I think? We may release another single after "Echo", or it may come after "Echo". We'll see.

SPM: Sugababes 4.0 are coming out with an album in March too.
Jess: Really? I love them. They're really, really good. I'm definitely gonna be buying that, I love them. They're kinda more hip hop and R&B, which is why I like them.

SPM: What do you think sets you apart from other British girl groups, like The Saturdays.
Jess: Fundamentaly, we're all girls and we're all groups, so there really isn't a huge difference. From day one, we were really focused on the vocals. We've always said we have three leads, no specific lead. We're all partaking together. We were scouted for the fact that each of us could hold her own.

SPM: I think you have a different, deeper sound than the other groups. Plus, as you said, there's no lead, which is refreshing.
Jess: Exactly. I really enjoyed that, and I think because we all had the passion. I wanted to do this since I was three years old, I used to sing in my room for hours and hours. All I wanted to do was be in music. Plus, we can all sing. I think it's worked out really, really well.

SPM: Who have you worked with, in terms of producers?
Jess: There's one producer who did quite alot of songs for us, like, as I mentioned, my favorite song, "Unconditional". They were done by Johnny Douglas, and he's worked heavily with George Michael and Estelle. It was really cool working with him. He's got a real hip hop vibe to him. We all loved him, actually. We've also worked with Shaznay Lewis. She's written a couple of our tracks. One day, she came while we were recording one of her songs, she was so lovely. She was in the biggest girl group in the UK for awhile, she's still amazing, and her songs are brilliant.

SPM: All Saints were great. I miss them.
Jess: Me too. I'd love them to come back. I was quite young when they came out but I still had all their albums. They were really cool 'cause they were different. They never tried to be anything. They were who they wanted to be, and they didn't dress up and weren't all glamorous. They were different in a good way. Girls Aloud are wicked, they dress really well, but All Saints dressed down and it worked really well.

SPM: Can you catch?
Jess: I can! We did a show once before, and the TV host had eggs thrown at us, and I managed to catch it with one hand. It was caught on TV. It's one of my proudest moments. They were like "I can't believe you were able to catch it!" so it was really cool.

SPM: Who, or what, is your biggest influence?
Jess: Definitely Kanye West. I've had all his mixtapes from an early age, and I love the way he dresses, and everything about him. Femalewise, someone like Beyonce. I've seen her a couple of times, she's so powerful. She's groundbreaking, too, and I just think people like her and Kanye have really made an impression on music, which influenced me.

SPM: Have you decided on a third single yet?
Jess: We haven't decided for sure, but there's "Turn Me Up", which we did on tour. It was written by Shaznay Lewis. Quite alot of people are liking the sound of it, but we don't know for sure. We just have to wait and see, I guess.

SPM: I love that song.
Jess: Thank you! It's actually weird, 'cause when we do gigs and stuff, it's mainly guys that love that song. It's guys that come up to us and tell us that. It's funny how I've noticed that that's the one that's popular with guys. I don't know why, but it's really cool.

SPM: What did you think of 2009's X-Factor?
Jess: Well, it was definitely hilarious with Jedward. They were really cool, and I think good on them for doing it. They were shown alot of hatred. They were booed all the time, but they carried on. I'm really glad, though, that Joe [McElderly] won. I really think he's actually the most talented. I did love Olly [Murs] as well, but I think Joe was very different, I think he can go far.

SPM: What do you think of: Lady Gaga?
Jess: Love her. I think her songs were the songs of the Summer, like "Poker Face". What she's doing is extremely different to everyone else. I think she's awesome. I'd love to see her on tour.

SPM: Ke$ha?
Jess: She's really cool. Haven't heard much of her, I've heard two or three tracks. I'd like to see more of her, and I think her look's really cool.

SPM: Lily Allen?
Jess: I think she's great. I really do like her. She's really cool, and as a lyricist. she's really funny. I find myself laughing when I hear her songs.

SPM: Susan Boyle?
Jess: I don't even know what to say about her. I know she's doing really well in America, which is crazy. It's really unfair about how everyone had opinions about her looks and her age. She can sing, but I haven't heard any of her stuff.

SPM: Any plans to crack the US?
Jess: It would be amazing, but we'll see. I've only been there twice, I went to New York last year, which was amazing. I'd love to go back and see all the places.

SPM: Congrats on everything!

Hmm... It's okay. I was expecting much, much more, but apparently it's a work in progress, so I hope the official version will have more scenes. I love the song though!

Timbaland & Katy Perry Shoot New Video!

Timbaland, seemingly, isn't too phased about the low sales his sophomore album, Shock Value II, has garnered, he's already shooting new videos!

As we speak, Timbaland is shooting the video for his newest single, "If We Ever Meet Again", with Katy Perry, according to CherryTree Records' and Jim Beans' official Twitter pages.

Both Jim and Martin Keizurnbaum (Cherry Cherry Boom Boom!) are on set. More updates soon!

My favorite song off the album along with the Miley one! I was a bit disappointed in the album as a whole, though. I'm glad this is a single! It's a surefire hit. Hope the video's great, too!

GIRLICIOUS NEW SINGLE THIS WEEK!

Girlicious, Robin Antin's trashy pop girlgroup, once a foursome, now down to three members (after member Tiffanie Anderson, far right, was kicked out for 'being too hood'), are planning a 'comeback' of sorts, after their debut album failed to make any impact in any country other than Canada.

According to member, Chrystina Sayers' (the blonde one) official Twitter page, their new single should be dropping this week, and they are currently finishing up on their sophomore album.

Their album will be released this February, stay tuned for more news.

I'm kinda excited! I loved most of their debut album, I'll admit, so I want to see this 'new direction' they're going for. I still think they're complete sell-outs and attention whores, but we'll see... It's the music that matters, right?

“I got to bring in textures that I loved and tell them about the shapes that I like. I designed clothing that I feel are staples for my closet. “I walked into a mall one day and was mobbed by people. And I just remember feeling really different than everyone else. I felt really loved. But it was weird at the same time. I don’t necessarily like to walk into a place and be recognized.”

Taking the part of starlet Olivia Burke on Gossip Girl:

“I was a little hesitant. It was kind of close to home… then I realized, I would never say something [that Olivia says] like, ‘Oh, this is just for the cameras.’ I think that’s what makes me so different from some of the other people my age. It seemed for a time there were people who hated each other – and I knew they hated each other – but they were in pictures together all the time, smiling and throwing their arms around each other. I was like, “You’re in the same business I am – how can you do that and feel okay? I so wouldn’t do that.”

LINDSAY LOHAN SHOOTING BBC DOCUMENTARY... IN INDIA!

"Party girl", Lindsay Lohan, headed off to India last week, reportedly to shoot a BBC documentary about child trafficking.

"Count your blessings.... Please try and do something to make a difference for others," she said on her Twitter yesterday, as well as mentioning that she's having 'the time of [her] life' in India.

I think this was a good move. I don't think it's a PR stunt, I think it's genuinely from her heart, but that's just me. lol

K-FED SLIMS DOWN

"Father of the year" and Britney's baby daddy, Kevin Federline, aka Fed-EX, aka K-FAT, is making news again... For slimming down after gaining a gazillion pounds.

The "rapper", "entepreneur", "dancer" and gold-digger has taken part in VH1's reality (another?!) show, Celebrity Fit Club, airing in January. His attention-seeking ex-girlfriend, Shar Jackson, has also commented on this for whatever reason (attention-seeker!), saying "everybody will be shocked" at this "very painful" ordeal.

Yeah, it was very painful getting that fat paycheck, I'll bet! I was shocked when I saw pics of K-Fed looking like a hybrid between Free Willy and an albino rat, but once I heard rumors of a reality show, I was as shocked as Tiger Wood's wife after the upteenth 'mistress' came out of the 'woods'. It's obvious he did this for the show, I mean, anyone with half a brain could see that.

MARIAH RELEASING ANOTHER REMIX ALBUM

In addition to the Memoirs remix album, in stores this February, Mariah Carey is also releasing ANOTHER remix album in 2010, this time with house mixers, Jump Smokerz, who remixed "Obsessed" and "HATEU". The first remix album will be R&B/Hip-Hop, with a few unreleased songs from the Memoirs sessions, while the second one will be more of a house/club sound. Both are due early next year.

MILEY CYRUS ALBUM NEWS

Hannah Montana star, and teen queen, Miley Cyrus, has just released her EP, Time of Our Lives, a couple of months ago, but she's already working on a follow-up album.

Miley's been writing songs whilst on tour, and working with different producers, such as Dr. Luke, who produced her smash hit, "Party In The USA". She's trying to find her 'sound' in the studio, noting Lady Gaga and Mick Jagger as influences on this record.

She'll also be covering a Poison song, y'all! Yes, you heard right, she'll be singing a BRETT MICHEALS SONG. Her mom, Trish, said that Miley will cover their '80s hit, "Every Rose Has It's Thorn", which is her 'all-time favorite song'. Micheals might also play guitar on the song. We'll be updating you, so stay tuned!

KELLY CLARKSON FIFTH ALBUM UPDATE + RYAN TEDDER SPEAKS OUT

It's been less than a year since first American Idol winner, Kelly Clarkson, released her fourth album, All I Ever Wanted, but she's already hard at work on the follow-up.

Clarkson is already in the writing process, collaborating with 'different people' and her tour DJ, for a 'funk-dance' sound, but still maintaining the pop/rock tunes that she is known for. "Wish I Could Be Lonely", a song she's performing on tour, has also been confirmed to be on the album, while another new song was registered at ASCAP; "Mrs. Right".

No release date has been set for the album yet, but it should be out, according to Clarkson, 'sometime early next year'.

In other news, OneRepublic frontman, Ryan Tedder, opened up about the controversy surrounding Kelly's song, "Already Gone", and it's similarities to Beyonce's single, "Halo".

Although "Already Gone" was recorded first, "Halo" was released much earlier, even winning several awards, including Best Song at this year's EMAs. Tedder said, while producing "Halo", it wasn't his 'intention' to copy "Already Gone", but to come up with a song 'in the same vein' as Kelly's.

He also said he prefers "Already Gone" over "Halo", since 'it made all the girls I played it for cry'. He also mentioned that he would work with Kelly, who still hasn't reached out to him, again, but that he'd 'tread carefully', since he doesn't want to be accused of copying more songs.

A dance-funk Kelly album? Hmm... I don't really know how I feel about that. I don't wanna judge before hearing anything, but we'll wait and see. As for Tedder, sit down please. No one cares.

PARADISO GIRLS PLAN REALITY SHOW + ARIA INTERVIEW

We can exclusively reveal to you that the hottest pop group to hit the scene, the Paradiso Girls, are planning to shoot a reality show this January. During our exclusive interview with Aria Crescendo, the French member of this multi-racial girl group, she revealed that the reality show will start shooting from January to February, and probably air in March.

No network has been announced as of yet, but the show will center around the five piece group as they travel the world, promoting their debut album, Crazy Horse, due in stores the first quarter of 2010. Our interview with Aria will be posted in January.

DAVID ARCHULETA TALKS NEW ALBUM

American Idol 7 runner up, 19 year old David Archuleta, is already working on the follow up to his self-titled debut album. "I'm hoping that at least some of the songs I've written this time around will be able to make it on to the record," he told MTV News. "I don't think songs have to be like these super-#1-smash-hit-sounding songs, because I think it's more important that it's like, 'Hey! This is coming out of me. This is something I connect with. This is something that I like to sing.' "

He also told MTV News that he wants to experiment with 'different styles' and genres, but still maintain that 'radio-friendly' sound and 'relatable' lyrics. Archuleta has been working with producers Robert Mavin [Matt Kearney, Joy Williams] and Jeymes Samuel [Mr Hudson, KT Tunsall]. Among the songs tipped for inclusion on the album are "Sooner Or Later" and "Falling Awake".

I haven't really been a fan of David's music, but he has a nice voice. He's someone you want to see succeed, he has that kinda personality. I wish him luck! The sophomore album will be the one to make or break you.

MARIAH "H.A.T.E.U." VIDEO NEWS

Mariah Carey's second/third single from her new album, Memoirs of An Imperfect Angel, has been confirmed to be "H.A.T.E.U.". The-Dream produced/penned track sees Mariah go back to her '90s influenced R&B ballads. CHART WATCH: JASON DERULO HITS #1

R&B singer/songwriter, Jason Derulo, has hit the number one spot on the Billboard Hot 100 this week with "Whatcha Say", making it his first number one. Derulo has been in the music scene for quite awhile now, releasing "Coffee Girl" with Kat DeLuna in 2006 and "Cyber Love" with MIMS last year. His debut album will be out in stores early next year, and his next single, "Love Hangover", should be out soon.

In other chart news, Lady GaGa's "Bad Romance" debuts at number 9 on the Hot 100, while Taylor Swift's "Jump Then Fall" makes it to number 10. Why'd you call your blog, the Disco Vagina Blog? It's a rad name.
Because the VJJ is powerful and discos are fun. I wanted a special place where I could interact with my fans and it doesn't get much more special than that!

Why'd you call the album The Electrick Hotel? When can we expect to hear it?
The album will be released early 2010 on Capitol/EMI and I called it "The Electrick Hotel" because I want to invite my fantastic fans as guests to come stay with me. It's electric and exciting, come and check in.

Why'd you choose "Sexy People" as the lead single?
I feel like it is a great song to introduce me to club life and get the beautiful people dancing. I wanted to start off with a fresh, sexy summer jam. Sexy People is an appetizer, there is so much more to come from me.

What, or who are you inspired by?
I am inspired by the tragedy and joy of life, its possibilities and disapointments. Dynasty the 80's TV show, cocktails, club life, hope, owls, zeebras, bravery, the 90's and wonderful artists like, Madonna, Kate Bush, Rick James, Cyndi Lauper, Nenah Cherry and the Spice Girls.

What inspired "Boujis Baby"? It's an interesting song.
Boujis Baby is a part of my personality. I can be a spoilt brat at times and you love it!

How'd you get signed to Capital/EMI?
Blood, sweat and tears.

Have you always wanted to be a singer?

It is an eclectic awkward pop album with a song for every emotion. You can expect wild concepts, lyrical and vocal substance, sick club tracks and stark, honest songs.

How was it like working with: Snoop Dog? What's the name of the song he's in?
Snoopy is a legend and a real star, check out my blog 'Disco Vagina' for more information on our work in progress.
I am singing on a song called "Twilight" which I co-wrote for his album, produced by JR.Rotem. He will probably be on a song called "Rich" for the "Electrick Hotel"

The faith quote is an abbreviation from a scripture in the Bible: Hebrews chapter 11:1. I live my life by faith, and glad this inspired you also. The dream quote is mine, and I will be bringing you more quotes, I hope you like them!

You're from the UK. Was it hard for you first coming to the US? Was it hard adjusting to it? What place do you prefer?
America is wonderful and I have adapted really quickly to living here. The beautiful American people have adopted me and made me feel very at home. I will always be a proud Brit but I consider myself a citizen of the world, so I am an international chick.

Why do you describe your music as 'awkward pop'?
Because it's un-restrained and not always easy to swallow. But still yummy yummy pop pop.

Who directed the "Sexy People" video? When should we expect to see it?
Omri Cohen directed the video and it will premiere on myspace.com/lolene in about two weeks. I am very excited and nervous to show you all.

What do you think of the current state of pop music?
I think we are having a pop revival, which is fabolous and just the right climate for me and my 'Electrick Hotel'

What's your favorite song ever? What's your CURRENT favorite song?
My favourite song ever is always my next song. My current favourite is "Sexy People" and Kate Bush, "Running Up That Hill" magnificent.

Have you decided on a second/first PROPER single yet?
Yes, and its a fabulous song called "Rich" its about people who live like they are rich with car payments and bougis swagger but don't have any money. My favourite line is "fake it til you make it" that's what I do anyway.

"Sexy People" has been compared to "Get Sexy" by the Sugababes. What do you make of that?
I am yet to hear it.

Who are some producers and artists you're working with?
I am working with future star producers you may not of heard of yet, but also the likes of the sexy Sam Sparro, Snoopy (Snoop Dogg) and I am trying to do a duet with Neneh Cherry - the badest bitch ever.

Neon Hitch is a pop singer, and undoubtly one of the most interesting artists I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. One word to describe her? Wild. Neon was raised with alongside a traveling circus, where her gypsy parents were apart of. That's right, Neon is a gypsy, and yes, that is her actual name. Neon has been on the scene for quite awhile now, working with producer, Benny Blanco (Britney Spears, Miike Snow), touring with 50 Cent and writing for artists, like Ke$ha. Her debut album, titled Beg, Borrow and Steal, is out next year and will include such songs as "My Book", "Black & Blue" and "Dancing With Fire". Timbaland Changes First Single From SV2?

Some sources are reporting that Timbaland's vampire-influenced "Morning After" with French artist, SoShy, will no longer be the first single from his new album, Shock Value 2. Instead, the first single will be "If We Meet Again" with Katy Perry. Other sources are reporting that it's gonna be a double A side single with both songs doing the rounds. I guess we'll have to wait and see for a few hours when Ryan Seacrest officially debuts the single today. Stay tuned for more info.

The raddest chick around, Kesha Sebert, more commonly known as Ke$ha, is finally on her way to getting a hit with her first single, "TiK ToK" (the song just climbed up to the Top 20 on the iTunes Pop Chart), as well as her debut album, hopefully by the end of the year, which will include production from Dr. Luke (Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry), Fernando Garibay (Lady GaGa, Britney Spears), as well as resident pop gypsy and circus traveller, Neon Hitch, whom I interviewed awhile back.

During the interview (the audio will be up on Monday), Neon got to speaking about Ke$ha, whom she calls a 'dear friend'. She confirmed that she has co-written the second single off Ke$ha's debut album, which will be a song called "Blah Blah Blah", which was produced by Benny Blanco. Taylor Swift's new music video for "Fifteen", the latest single off her sophomore album, Fearless, has just been released, thanks to CMT! Check it out above! Taylor is also re-releasing Fearless this November with 6 new songs and a DVD.

The video was great! It was creative and something new. I love how all of Taylor's videos follow storylines. I wonder why she's releasing "Fifteen" now, though? Isn't she supposed to release a single off the re-release? Anyways, I love this song and I'm glad it's a single. It's my favorite off Fearless.

Another new/old Lady GaGa song has made it's way online! This one is called "Filthy Pop" and it was produced by Souldiggaz. It was recorded back when she was with Def Jam (I got MUCH more on that to be posted later today). Other records to emerge/that are from that era include "Retro, Dance, Freak", "Wunderful", "Let Love Down" and the original/demo form of "Beautiful, Dirty, Rich". I don't get why people are getting their panties in a knot. This was never going to be released. It's OLD.

I really like this! ALL of GaGa's songs used to be this style. They were back when I saw her live in Lollapalooza in 2007. It's interesting to see how much she's evolved. I hope she'd do more tracks like this. By the way, how pure does her voice sound here? More info on what exactly occured with Def Jam later today! It's gonna be a must read, so stay tuned!

NEW GAGA! "No Way"

What we have here is "No Way", one of the many demos Lady GaGa recorded with producer, Fernando Garibay, that were shopped around to many artists, such as Beyonce and Britney Spears. It has the same sound as "Quicksand", that was re-recorded by Britney for Circus, because they were produced by the same producer and around the same time. This will NOT be on The Fame Monster.

I'm loving this! GaGa doesn't have a song like this on her album, though, her ballads tend to be rockier/more contemporary, but she sounds amazing on songs like these, which is why I hope she has a song like this on the upcoming re-release. Her voice is just amazing, and this shows that she's truly a great lyricist. I love GaGa.

NEW J. LO!!! "Fresh Out the Even" w/ Pitbull!

TRICKY STEWART TALKS ABOUT NEW RIHANNA ALBUM

Okay, before we start this post, I just wanna say something... How much of a big mouth is Tricky Stewart?! First, he lets the cat out of the bag on Ciara's 'top secret' new album, then, he talks about the new Christina Aguiler album, going as far as to mention the collaborations and the sound. Tricky Stewart and The-Dream, the duo behind Rihanna's 2007 monster hit "Umbrella", are back in the studio with the Bajan songstress, according to Stewart himself.

During an interview with Rap-Up, Tricky mentioned that the new album from Rihanna will indeed be out by the end of the year, and that he's heading into the studio with her in the next few weeks.

According to him, it isn't his goal to try and top "Umbrella", but to 'chase greatness' and to do something 'truly great' for her. He also said that we're gonna hear 'something [we] haven't heard before' from Rihanna.

Other collaborations on the upcoming Rihanna album include Tyson Ritter from the All-American Rejects, Ryan Tedder, Mr. Hudson, Evan Rogers and Carl Strunken. Expect the new single out by the end of the month.

Backstreet Boys member, Brian Littrell, has been diagnosed with H1N1, commonley known as Swine Flu. The Boys were in the midst of a promotional tour for their new album, This Is Us, which is in stores today, when they found out. All the promotional stops, including a signing in New York and a performance on the Ellen DeGenres show, have been cancelled, or pushed back to a later date. We wish Brian a speedy recovery! The much anticipated new Timbaland collaboration album, Shock Value 2, has finally been given a release date. According to Rap-Up.com, the follow up to the original Shock Value will be out on November 24. The album will include collaborations with Lady GaGa, Shakira, Jim Beans, Daughtry, Miley Cyrus, Justin Timberlake, Paramore, and Timbaland's new artist, SoShy, who is on the album's first single, "True Blood", that will be out in a few weeks.

My favorite artist ever, and the new Queen of Pop, Lady GaGa, has taken to Twitter to talk about the surprising cancellation of her collaboration tour with shamed rapper/autotuned singer Kanye West, aptly titled The Fame Kills Tour.

"It was a mutual decision," says GaGa. "Kanye's going to take some time off. But the good news is that I'm going on tour in a few weeks".

GaGa also talked about her new single, "Bad Romance", leaking in an unfinished/demo form saying that the leaked version 'made [her] ears bleed'. GaGa's BFF, backtsabbing/shittalking blogger, Perez Hilton, also tweeted about the leak saying that the 'real song is actually 100x better'.

Lady GaGa just received the Billboard Rising Star Award at the Billboard Women In Music Event yesterday. Her new LP, a re-release of her debut album, titled The Fame Monster, is out November 24.

LEIGHTON MEESTER REVEALS FIRST SINGLE!

As I previously reported, Leighton Meester, star of Gossip Girl and 2010's The Roommate, is working on her debut album and her first single features Robin Thicke. Now, I can confirm, via AllAccess, that her first single will be "Somebody to Love", featuring Robin Thicke, and will be hitting radio on the 27th of October. Meester's debut album, still untitled, will feature the previously leaked "Body Control", as well as production from RedOne, Gabe Saporta, J. R. Rotem and Kara Diogaurdi. It's out early next year.

In other news, Leighton will also be featured on an upcoming Christmas compilation titled A Very Special Christmas 7, singing the classic "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)". Other artists that appear on the record are Colbie Caillit, Miley Cyrus, Vanessa Hudgens, Kristinia DeBarge, Carrie Underwood and Sean Kingston. It's out November 24.

Bad Boy's bad girl (cheesy, I know, I tried), Cassie, has been working on her sophomore album, Electro Love (previously titled Connecticut Fever), for well over two years now. The album's been preceeded by many 'lead singles' before, such as "Official Girl", "Must Be Love", and the current 'official single', "Let's Get Crazy". The album was supposed to come out this November, but according to the Examiner, it's now looking at an early next year date. The album includes production by The Neptunes, RedOne, Ryan Leslie and Danja.

MICHAEL BAY ANNOUNCES TRANSFORMERS 3 DATE

According to Michael Bay's official blog, Transformers 3 is coming sooner than we, and him, would've thought. Bay confirmed in a blog post that the third Transformers movie would be coming out on July 1, 2011, and that they 'have a great Transformers story' that will involve 'new characters'. Earlier this year, when asked if a sequel is underway, Bay said that he wanted the movie to be out on July 1, 2012, a year later than the studio originally planned.

"FAME KILLS" TOUR CANCELLED/NEW GAGA SINGLE INFO!

The much-hyped, much anticipated collaboration tour by Lady GaGa and Kanye West, the aptly titled Fame Kills Tour, has been cancelled, according to Live Nation, the tour's promoter. No reason has been given for the cancellation. The tour would've extended throughout the fall. Stay tuned for more updates as they develop.

In other, more positive, news, Lady GaGa's new single, which she will perform tomorrow night on SNL alongside "Paparazzi", has been confirmed to be called "Bad Romance". The song will be the official lead single/fifth overall for the upcoming re-release, titled The Fame Monster, which will include 4 new songs and 4 acoustic versions of GaGa's biggest hits.

I'm a bit irked that the tour was cancelled. I didn't have any plans on going, so I won't be in the US for the rest of the year, but I was looking forward to seeing videos. Oh, well. Rumor has it that GaGa's planning her own tour, I just hope that the rumor Adam Lambert is opening for her isn't true. I hate him.

I'm so excited for the new single, it ain't even funny, though. Sounds like a SMASH to me! GaGa always delivers, I'd know, I've been a fan since December '07.

MARIAH RELEASING ANOTHER ALBUM THIS YEAR?

Mariah Carey just released her new album, Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel, days ago, but is she planning to release another album soon?

That's the impression she left when she talked to MTV News this past Tuesday. During the interview, she addressed the issue of the 'missing songs', as fans label them, that have been produced by longtime collaborater, Jermaine 'JD' Dupri, and Timbaland, who produced the newly leaked song, "Skydiving" (listen below).

According to her, she has a 'special something planned' for the fans that she discussed with LA Reid that will include 'more than one Timbaland track' and 'at least one JD track'. Interesting...

CHRISTINA AGUILERA FINISHES UP NEW CD

Pop/R&B singer, Christina Aguilera, has finally finished her upcoming album, according to producer, Tricky Stewart (Rihanna, Mariah Carey). He describes the album as being 'great', but not 'alternative' or 'different'. He also praised the work he did with Christina, calling it 'one of her best bodies of work... since Stripped' and 'really, really amazing'. Among the producers and artists Christina worked with, they include Sia, Santigold, M.I.A. and Flo-Rida. Aguilera is also shooting her movie, Burlesque, along with Cam Gigandet and Cher. She plans to launch the album once she finishes up her commitment to Burlesque. Stay tuned for more news.

Damn, Tricky really let the cats out of the boxes! First, he spills on Ciara's 'TOP SECRET' fourth album, and now this? LOL! I'm really excited for this, though, but Flo-Rida? I do not see Christina and him on a song together. AT ALL. As some of you might've established from my previous posts, I don't really like Flo, but I definitely respect him for giving my girl, Ke$ha, a chance, so props to him on that, but what Christina needs to be doing right now is something completely different than what's on radio right now, but judging from what Big Mouth Tricky said, I think she wants to go as mainstream as possible because of her last couple of singles flopping. JESSIE JAMES INTERVIEW!

You might have heard of Jessie James. The singer, not the outlaw. She signed a deal with Mercury Records, has had a Top 20 hit, "Wanted", under her belt, toured with the Jonas Brothers and Jordin Sparks and is the new face of Steve Madden. Not to mention she's majorly talented! Her voice has been compared to Christina Aguilera and Carrie Underwood, and her music is a fusion of many genres and it works! Jessie has just released her self-titled debut album and her second single, the anthemic "I Look So Good (Without You)". She's gearing up for a new tour and the release of her third single, "My Cowboy". I had the opportunity to interview Jessie (thanks so much Diegho!). Check out the interview below!

Q1: Your real name is actually Jessica James. It's the perfect stage name without it being a stage name! But if you were to choose a stage name, what would it be and why?

Georgiana Baglio. The last name is my italian grandmother's last name.

Q2: You were born on a military base in Italy. That's very interesting. Did you spend some time in Italy before moving to Georgia?

Only 2 years. I then moved to 10 more places before living in Georgia.

Q3: You're actually my favorite artist! You incorporate alot of sounds and styles onto the album. Country, pop, rock, even a little R&B on "Burn It Up" and "Psycho Girlfriend" and hip-hop on "Blue Jeans". Was that what you were going for?

I love all kinds of music, so I wanted to be able to put them all into one song. So it's definitely what I was going for.

Q4: How was it like working with:

Toby Gad, Katy Perry, Kara DioGaurdi, Darkchild, Randy Houser, Savan Kotecha, Mitch Allen.

It was great! They are all very talented. I ADORE Savan and especially Randy Houser. I'm still very good friends with those two.

Q5: How was it like getting "Blue Jeans" on the Confessions of a Shopaholic soundtrack?

I cried when i saw it in the movies. I get very emotional, this is my dream.

Q6: How was it like opening for the Jonas Brothers on tour?

It was fun. It's great to have that experience in an arena. I loved Jordin Sparks! She was my favorite part of the tour.

Q7: What's your favorite song you ever recorded? Why?

"Guilty". It's so real to me and a very honest and deep song for me.

Q8: Why weren't "Watching and Waiting", "Newnan High" and "Hurry Up Johnny" on the album? Is there a chance of them being on a second album?

Yes they will, FOR SURE. I love those songs and wanted them on the album, but thought it would be best to wait for the second and have it be a deeper album. It's better to always mature with your audience. I am already at that point, but i think this first album needed to be more fun. I will let my deeper side come out for the second record.

Q9: "Newnan High" is one of my favorite songs ever. What inspired you to write it? Is it from personal experience?

My highschool life was pretty traumatic for me and still kinda haunts me today. But that song was for me to face the problems I had in high school and sing about them because I think everyone can relate.

Q10: Who would you want to collaborate with? Artist or producer.

Kidrock, Nickelback and Shania [Twian].

Q11: Have you considered writing for other artists?

I have done it many times. It's just hard because I'm SO busy.

Q12: You've actually got a handful of endorsement deals under your belt, Steve Madden and SPEED Dream Ride Theme. How was it like getting those?

It's such a great feeling! I love being involved with such great companies and people.

Q13: "Burn It Up" is a very interesting song. What's the inspiration behind it?

Being angry at the guy and wanting to burn his house down!

Q14: Who, or what, inspires you?

Rock 'n' roll, Edie Sedgwick from Warhols Factory, Shania and the Southern lifestyle.

Q15: Have you always wanted to be a singer? Is there someone who helped you realize that?

I have always wanted to be a singer. Ever since I was 2 I knew I wanted to entertain people.

Q16: Your videos for "Wanted" and "I Look So Good" are pretty much amazing! I can't wait for the "My Cowboy" video! Who's directing it? When should we expect to see it?

You will see it this week, I believe. It's my favorite video and it's the most natural and I hope to do videos like this more often. This is the image i want to portray.

Q17: You've been compared to Christina Aguilera, Carrie Underwood and Shania Twain. What do you think about that?

I think it's very flattering! They are all very powerful women. I hope I can live up to what they do.

Q18: If you were stranded on an island (God forbid, lol), and you had to take one album with you, what would it be and why?

That's hard! Ummm 'The Woman In Me' by Shania Twain.

Q19: I've seen you live, and you put a whole new twist on your songs, they sound different live than they do on record. Did you ever think about releasing an acoustic live EP or something? It would be really cool.

I hope so! That's a wonderful idea. I definitely want to do an acoustic album.

Q20: How did you get signed to Mercury Records? Did you meet LA Reid?

I was writing alot in Nashville, and one of my songs got sent to David Gray (an A&R) there. They flew me up and signed me in 3 days. I did meet LA, he was everything you can imagine.

Q21: Do you have a message to your fans?

I LOVE YOU AND I LOVE WHAT I DO AND HOPE TO MAKE RECORDS FOR YOU FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE!

I was fortunate enough to interview the amazing R&B/Pop girlgroup, Jada! They were so nice and I ended up talking to them for 45 minutes + ! They talked about their still untitled debut album, getting signed to Universal/Motown, working with some of the best producers in the game and opening for Boyz II Men! Jada consists of April, Elle, Jacyn and Lauren. They've been in the music industry for quite some time now. Their song, "I'm That Chick", featuring Sean Kingston and produced by J. R. Rotem (Jason Derulo, Britney Spears), was featured on the soundtrack to the Bring It On movie, In It to Win It. They released their first single, "American Cowboy", produced by RedOne (Kat DeLuna, Colby O'Donis, Lady Gaga) and Akon, early this year and shot the video with famed director, Ray Kay (Lady Gaga, Paradiso Girls). Controversial R&B singer, Chris Brown, is fresh off doing community service for beating Rihanna, but that hasn't stopped him from working on his new album, rumored to be titled Grafitti. According to his official Twitter page, his new single, "Transformers", will be out tomorrow. The song includes the lyrics 'I can transform ya' and 'Megan ain't got nothin' on ya', and is rumored to feature rent-a-rapper, Lil' Wayne.

SURPRISE! Ciara Readies New Album?!?

After the embarassing flop, but completely underrated, Fantasy Ride, rumors of Ciara getting dropped from her label and/or rushing to the studio to do damage control have been making their way online. Well, now, via Tricky Stewart himself, it's been confirmed. Ciara's releasing another album, her fourth, to be exact.

According to Stewart, him and The-Dream are the sole producers of the entire album, and have finished 14 songs so far. The record will consist of Ciara's signature up-tempos, but, Tricky says, 'with more substance' and 'depth' into them.

The set will feature no collaborations, other than The-Dream. Among the tracks the trio recorded, "Speechless" featuring The-Dream and "Gifted" are gonna be on the album. Apparently, the goal was to have the album to 'come out this year', but it looks like 'a next year thing'.

WOW. Just WOW. I knew there were rumors C's been in the studio, but I never really belived them. I love CiCi, but I'm not sure how I feel about Tricky and The-Dream producing the ENTIRE album. It turned out good the first two times (Mariah and Electrik Red), but it might get old. I hope they've got fresh, new material for her. Nonetheless, I'm excited! I don't think it's gonna be out this year, I'm predicting a February release date, but you never know.

RUMOR: Shakira Back In The Studio?

A month ago, an interesting little e-mail claiming to be from someone close to RedOne's (Lady GaGa, Kat DeLuna) made it's way onto my inbox. It included information that Shakira's album, She Wolf, was gonna get pushed back. It also included more interesting details about her heading back to the studio. I brushed it off at first, but now that it's confirmed to be pushed back in the US to November 17th, I thought I'd dig up the e-mail and post all the juicy details. I would've printed this before, but I was very busy due to EID. Anyways, check out all the goss below:

Shakira's new album She Wolf to get pushed back. EPIC [the label] were disappointed by her new material, saying it wasn't mainstream enough to hit it big. They sent her off to the studio with Red One and Akon to work on a song called 'ANIMAL INSTINCT'. She was also at the studio with NEPTUNES.

Hmmm... Interesting. I'm not really sure how reliable this is, but I DID hear she was going back to the studio AND that she worked with RedOne. I LOVE her new material so much, so I'm a bit irked that the label were iffy on it. AND by Neptunes, do they mean Pharrell? Check out the rest of the e-mail below, with more 'info' (take it with a grain of salt) on Jennifer Lopez and Lady GaGa.

CW CANCELS THE BEAUTIFUL LIFE

After just two episodes, The CW have officially cancelled The Beautiful Life: TBL. The show, starring Sara Paxton (Last House on the Left), Mischa Barton (The O.C.) and Corbin Blue (High School Musical), revolved around a group of models trying to make it in the industry. The show finished production of 6 episodes, and were in the midst of shooting the 7th when they got the news.

The Sugafakes (sorry, couldn't resist, still love 'em tho lol) were on the Scott Moyles BBC Radio Show to talk about the current line up of the group, sans Keisha, add Eurovision singer, Jade Ewen, and premiere their 'new' single, "About a Girl". The original song had vocals by Keisha, but they re-recorded the song, as well as the album, minus "Get Sexy". Check out the song below:

FIRE!!!! I can shamelessly say that I love this more than the Keisha induced version! ALOT of people are making a fuss over Keisha leaving, and while it is sad, none of the original members are present, I'm okay with it. Keisha always seemed like a bitch, really, but I do feel sad for her. NO ONE deserves that, not even the bitchiest of bitches (sorry, Nicole :P ). Their voices meld well together, so it will be interesting to see what comes out of this.

The picture above is a new promo for Shakira's new album, She Wolf! Shaki is looking mad hot! There has been confusion as to when the album would drop, once it clears up, I'll post a release date. Amazon posted that it's out on Nov. 17, but have since reverted to the original Oct. 13 release. Confusing, huh? Fans went berserk after British pop singer, Lily Allen, apparently confirmed on her official blog that she was quitting music. Well, according to PopJustice.com, who contacted her spokesperson, she is not.

Apparently, what Silly Lily meant by that comment was that she was simply focusing on promoting her current album, It's Not Me, It's You, the follow-up to her 2007 debut, Alright Still, and has yet to think of a third album.

What all this mumbo jumbo means is that Lily isn't quitting music, she's too busy promoting her last album, and has not recorded/written any songs for the new one. So there you have it! Lily Allen will not be quitting music.

LEIGHTON MEESTER FIRST SINGLE NEWS

Gossip Girl star, Leighton Meester, has been hard at work on her upcoming debut album. She's been on Cobra Starship's hit single, "Good Girls Go Bad", and has had a few leaks here and there, but she's officially releasing her first single later this month/early October. The song's title hasn't been revealed yet, but Leighton confirmed on the red carpet of the Emmy's that the song will feature R&B crooner, Robin Thicke.

Meester's debut album is set to include productions from RedOne, Clinton Sparks and J. R. Rotem. She has two new movies in the works, the thriller, The Roommate, with Minka Kelly, Alyson Michalka, Matt Lanter and Cam Gigandet, and Date Night, with Steve Carrell and Tina Fey. The third season of her TV show, Gossip Girl, just started last week.

British girlgroup, Sugababes, are fresh off a Top 3 single, "Get Sexy", and were about to release their next single, the RedOne produced "About a Girl", followed up by their new album, Sweet 7, this November. Earlier this week, rumors of member Amelle Barrabah leaving the group, and being replaced bu Eurovision singer, Jade Ewen, have been circulating the net. Well, a member did leave, and it's not who you'd expect.

Keisha Buchanan, the only remaining 'original' member of the 'Babes is leaving the group. Jade Ewen will indeed join the group as a replacement for Keisha. Keisha will still be under Island Records, but as a solo artist instead. The Sugababes are still set to release their new album, Sweet 7, on November 17th, and a rerecording process with Ewen's vocals is expected.

Introducing JADA

In the midst of a hefty number of girlgroups trying to make it into the business, one that really stands out is JADA. JADA consists of April, Elle, Jacyn and Lauren, four talented girls who couldn't be better friends. They're way talented, too! Don't believe me? Check out some of the performance videos below!

Anyways, JADA are signed to Universal/Motown, and they're the first white girlgroup to be signed to the label. Some of their accomplishments include working with some of the hottest producers in the business right now, including Danja (Nelly Furtado, Keri Hilson), Toby Gad (Fergie, Beyonce) and Wyclef Jean (Shakira, Mashonda). They had their song, "I'm That Chick", which features Sean Kingston and was produced by J. R. Rotem (Britney Spears, Paris Hilton), on the soundtrack of the 4th Bring It On movie, In It To Win It. They opened for BoyzIIMen and were praised by En Vogue. They've had a song of theirs, "American Cowboy", featured on the hit NBC show, House. They won the award for Best New R&B/Pop Act in the Boston Awards last year. That got you convinced yet?

They released their first single, "American Cowboy", earlier this year. It was produced by RedOne (Lady Gaga, Sugababes) and written by Akon. The sexy/funny video was directed by Ray Kay (Paradiso Girls, Beyonce). They're following up "American Cowboy" with the anthemic "Break Up Song", due for release on November 3rd, with a yet-to-be-titled album following shortly after.

Clothing retailer, Abercombie & Fitch, is suing Beyonce because she planned to title her upcoming perfume Sasha Fierce. Apparently, Abercombie has owned the FIERCE trademark for men's perfumes since 2002. They want to halt the release of the perfume.
