KELLY CLARKSON FIFTH ALBUM UPDATE + RYAN TEDDER SPEAKS OUT

It's been less than a year since first American Idol winner, Kelly Clarkson, released her fourth album, All I Ever Wanted, but she's already hard at work on the follow-up.
Clarkson is already in the writing process, collaborating with 'different people' and her tour DJ, for a 'funk-dance' sound, but still maintaining the pop/rock tunes that she is known for. "Wish I Could Be Lonely", a song she's performing on tour, has also been confirmed to be on the album, while another new song was registered at ASCAP; "Mrs. Right".
No release date has been set for the album yet, but it should be out, according to Clarkson, 'sometime early next year'.
---
In other news, OneRepublic frontman, Ryan Tedder, opened up about the controversy surrounding Kelly's song, "Already Gone", and it's similarities to Beyonce's single, "Halo".
Although "Already Gone" was recorded first, "Halo" was released much earlier, even winning several awards, including Best Song at this year's EMAs. Tedder said, while producing "Halo", it wasn't his 'intention' to copy "Already Gone", but to come up with a song 'in the same vein' as Kelly's.
He also said he prefers "Already Gone" over "Halo", since 'it made all the girls I played it for cry'. He also mentioned that he would work with Kelly, who still hasn't reached out to him, again, but that he'd 'tread carefully', since he doesn't want to be accused of copying more songs.

A dance-funk Kelly album? Hmm... I don't really know how I feel about that. I don't wanna judge before hearing anything, but we'll wait and see. As for Tedder, sit down please. No one cares.

ONEREPUBLIC'S NEW SINGLE!

"All the Right Moves" is the lead single from alternative/rock band, OneRepublic, best known for their Timbaland collaboration, "Apologize". It's off their sophomore album, Waking Up, due in stores this November. I refrained from posting it, until an HQ leaks, and it did, so take a listen below:

Ryan Tedder hyped this up like there's no tomorrow, and I expected much more. It does it's purpose; althought it is a typical Tedder production. Radio will eat this up; it's so mainstream. I like it, and I will listen to her new album, but after all the hype, you gotta admit, it does fall shortly. As always, the lyrics are on point, and Tedder can hold a note, so no complaints from me in those departments.

ONEREPUBLIC'S NEW SINGLE COVER

Above is the cover for rock/pop/alternative band, OneRepublic's new single, "All the Right Moves", which is set to serve as the lead single off their sophomore album, Waking Up, which will be released sometime in November. The single should premiere anyday now.
It looks very creative. Hope the song's good! Ryan Tedder talked it up, saying that it's 'unlike anything' they've done before, so hopefully, it's good.

LEONA LEWIS SINGLE UPDATE

After months of speculation, Leona Lewis' first single has been confirmed to be a song called "Happy". A couple of days ago, American Idol host, Ryan Seacrest, confirmed on his radio show that the single would be premiering this month and that it's a 'number one hit, no doubt'.
The single will be premiering on the UK's biggest radio station, Radio 1, on it's daily chart show on Sunday, September 6th. Click here for more details and to listen online. The song was written by Evan "Kidd" Bogart (JoJo, Rihanna, Ke$ha) and produced by Ryan Tedder (Jordin Sparks, Leona). It will serve as the lead single from Leona's new album, Echo, which is out November 17th.
I cannot wait! I hope it isn't the same as the old "Happy" demo that leaked. We'll see on Sunday...

ONEREPUBLIC ANNOUNCE NEW SINGLE

Alternative/Rock/Pop group, OneRepublic, have taken to their official Twitter page to announce their new single. It's called "All the Right Moves", and we should expect to hear it in the next few weeks. The album will follow in November.

I like OneRepublic. "Apologize" was the song of '06/'07. I used to listen to it before Timbaland made it famous, back when they were considered indie. Anyways, I hope the single's good. They've been talking it up on their Twitter/Facebook/MySpace pages for awhile now.

Speaking of OneRepublic, frontman Ryan Tedder has been working with Wynter Gordon, Leona Lewis, Adam Lambert and Rihanna.
