You might know Taylor Momsen from Gossip Girl. You might even recognize her from the Disney movie, Underdog, and the Grinch movie. But I betcha didn't know she could sing, huh? Taylor has been working on her music for years now. She's been writing songs, working with the guys from her band and shopping demos to record labels, hoping to get signed. Her big break occurred when, after Gossip Girl hit it big, her band, The Pretty Reckless, got signed to Interscope Records.
I know what you're thinking; not another actress-turned-singer, ugh! But she can actually sing! (I'm not just saying that 'cause I scored an interview with her, which is coming soon) She writes her own songs, she plays the guitar and keyboard and she can hold a note, which she proved when her band opened for The Veronicas on their recent nationwide tour. This girl is pretty talented!
The Pretty Reckless still don't have an album or a single out yet. Momsen says she's waiting for the time she can be able to tour and promote, since she's busy shooting the third season of Gossip Girl, but once her schedule clears, it's gonna be all about the music, she tells me. This is definitely a band you wanna keep your eye on!
