I had the opportunity to attend the listening party for the new Shakira album, She Wolf, held in London yesterday. The following song ("Men In This Town") was recorded from the event. I will be posting pictures (Shakira wasn't there, though) and my review of She Wolf soon, so stay tuned. In the meanwhile, listen to "Men In This Town" and "Lo Hecho Esta Hecho (Did It Again)" below and download them!

RUMOR: Shakira Back In The Studio?

A month ago, an interesting little e-mail claiming to be from someone close to RedOne's (Lady GaGa, Kat DeLuna) made it's way onto my inbox. It included information that Shakira's album, She Wolf, was gonna get pushed back. It also included more interesting details about her heading back to the studio. I brushed it off at first, but now that it's confirmed to be pushed back in the US to November 17th, I thought I'd dig up the e-mail and post all the juicy details. I would've printed this before, but I was very busy due to EID. Anyways, check out all the goss below:
Shakira's new album She Wolf to get pushed back. EPIC [the label] were disappointed by her new material, saying it wasn't mainstream enough to hit it big. They sent her off to the studio with Red One and Akon to work on a song called 'ANIMAL INSTINCT'. She was also at the studio with NEPTUNES.
Hmmm... Interesting. I'm not really sure how reliable this is, but I DID hear she was going back to the studio AND that she worked with RedOne. I LOVE her new material so much, so I'm a bit irked that the label were iffy on it. AND by Neptunes, do they mean Pharrell? Check out the rest of the e-mail below, with more 'info' (take it with a grain of salt) on Jennifer Lopez and Lady GaGa.
JENNIFER LOPEZ booked studio team with RED ONE from 7 - 9 October. For new album. LADY GAGA finished on Monster album. Duet with KANYE WEST scheduled.
Again, take this with a grain of salt, because I did, just thought I'd post.

NEW SHAKIRA ALBUM PROMO PIC

The picture above is a new promo for Shakira's new album, She Wolf! Shaki is looking mad hot! There has been confusion as to when the album would drop, once it clears up, I'll post a release date. Amazon posted that it's out on Nov. 17, but have since reverted to the original Oct. 13 release. Confusing, huh? Anyways, the second single, "Did It Again" featuring Kid CuDi, will be out soon, and the video was shot, with the director being Sophie Muller.

SHAKIRA REVEALS ALBUM COVER, SECOND SINGLE

According to PopJustice.com and RapUp.com, this is the official album cover for Shakira's new album, She Wolf, which is out October 13. PopJustice have also revealed that the second single will be "Did It Again", co-written and co-produced by Shakira and Pharrell Williams of The Neptunes. The single will hit airwaves later this month.

HOW HOT IS THE COVER? I love it! I really think this has a chance of being my favorite album of the year. I'm loving every song we've heard so far. Shakira is really bringing it! Can't wait for the album!
I wanted "Why Wait For Later" to be the second single, because it's very Arabic/Middle Eastern sounding (I'm Arabic, :P ) but I really like "Did It Again". So I'm glad!

NEW SHAKIRA SONGS! + VANITY FAIR SHOOT

Earlier today, a bunch of new Shakira clips from her new album, She Wolf, made their way online (they were probably on Promosquad). Check them out below:
"Why Wait For Later":

"Did It Again":

"Gypsy":

"Good Stuff":

DAMN, HOW EPIC WERE THESE? Shakira is killing it! "Why Wait For Later" was amazing! Being an Arab myself, I loved the Arabic tinge to it. "Did It Again" was pretty much amazing! I loved the techno-meets-tribal feel to it. "Gypsy" was f***ing hot! Another Arabic tinged song! I love it! "Good Stuff" is my least favourite, but it's still pretty good! It's very infectious! The unindentified song in the beginning was epic, though!
She Wolf just made it's way to the number one spot on my most anticipated albums of the year (what's left of it, lol)! You HAVE to check out the clips, and also, check out her hot shoot for Vanity Fair by clicking on the thumbnails below!
